A major update is approaching for Fortnite, bringing a plethora of new features to this renowned game.

Chapter 5 Season 3 of Fortnite is set to begin on Friday, May 24, 2024. Here’s a rundown of the new weapons, character skins, and additional cosmetic items that will be included. Initially, Epic Games released Fortnite as a paid game, but it soon transitioned to a free-to-play model. This change was driven by the immense success of PUBG, prompting a shift to a free Battle Royale format.

Several aspects contribute to Fortnite's massive popularity. Firstly, the game allows for the destruction of most map elements and the ability to construct structures. Another draw is its lightweight graphics, making it playable on nearly any system. Lastly, all purchasable items are purely cosmetic, providing no competitive advantage.

New Additions Coming to Fortnite

Tomorrow, May 24, Chapter 5 Season 3 of Fortnite will launch. To enjoy the new features, players will need to download V30.00 You’ll need to log in after 8:00 PM and update the game to the latest version.

Following this, there will be a downtime of approximately four hours as Epic Games ensures everything is functioning correctly. By midnight in Spain, the game should be fully operational.

Season 3, officially named "Wrecked," will have a post-apocalyptic theme with a strong focus on vehicles. Epic Games has previewed some of the skins coming with this update, all fitting the apocalyptic theme. The first is a collaboration with Fallout, featuring a T-60 Power Armor skin from the Brotherhood of Steel.

One image shows a female character with a steampunk hairstyle and spiked shoulder pads, reminiscent of Mad Max. Another skin depicts a villain leader with a mohawk and tubes running along his body, inspired by Immortan Joe from Mad Max: Fury Road.

The previews also reveal a villain's shark-shaped ship and a ruined factory called the "Nitro Dome" featuring monster trucks. The in-game sandstorm will not completely disappear, but some areas will be drastically modified.
