Fortnite Launch Kinetic Ore: How to Complete

The Fortnite x Star Wars collaboration is now live, and there are an abundance of new features and quests to explore. One of the more confusing Find the Force Quests requires players to Launch Kinetic Ore with a Star Wars weapon.

The Find the Force Quests provide players with a long list of tasks to complete for in-game rewards. Completing each quest is the only way to earn Galactic Reputation, the currency needed to unlock free Star Wars cosmetics, including the Clone Trooper Outfit.

Here’s a breakdown of how to use a Star Wars weapon to launch Kinetic Ore in Fortnite.

Fortnite Launch Kinetic Ore: How to Complete

First, players must visit a Rift Gate and obtain a Lightsaber from Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, or Obi-Wan Kenobi. The blue, red, and green icons will appear on the map throughout a match, and players must interact with their trainer to emerge with a Lightsaber.

Then, take the Star Wars weapon and head to Shattered Slabs. The Kinetic Ore are the large purple rocks scattered throughout the POI. Walk up to the sparkling rock and take out your Lightsaber.

Once you make sure no one is around to shoot you in the back, simply wield the Lightsaber and hit the Kinetic Ore. The rock will vibrate for a moment before launching across the ground. Sprint to the new location, hit the rock again, and watch it launch.

The quest will complete when you have successfully hit the Kinetic Ore twice.
