Fortnite has introduced Reality Augments in Fortnite

Fortnite has added a major new addition to the world of Fortnite, Reality Augments. These are new additions to the game that allows players to add new perks mid-game. These perks can range from any number of things, with 22 different Augments existing already.

It’s unclear if these are permanent or if they’re just here for Chapter 4, Season 1, but for right now players who start playing can add these throughout the match.

Here’s how they work; once the game alerts you that you can now add an Augment, you follow the instructions on the screen, and then you can pick between two options. Later in the game, you can select another and another.

They only last on your character until the end of the match. They do not carry over from match to match. If you don’t like the options you get, you can “reroll” them for new options.
