Fortnite has announced Aya Nakamura as the new Soundwave Series participant

Fortnite has announced that Aya Nakamura will be joining the world of Fortnite as the newest member of the Soundwave Series. She comes in on the heels of Tones & I, Emicida, Gen Hoshino, and Mohamed Hamaki.

The French-Malian songstress will start airing on Oct. 6 at 12 PM ET and will be shown continuously for 72 straight hours. She is the fifth artist to be involved in the series. If you watch the event, you’ll be rewarded with a brand new and freeloading screen.

It’s simply called the Aya’s Island Loading Screen. That’s not all you get, as you’ll also get the Aya Nakamura Spray and additional XP depending on how many times you watch it.

Fortnite fans on PlayStation can now get new gear

That’s not all. For fans who play on PlayStation, you can get your hands on the 19th Fortnite Celebration Pack, which is only for PlayStation Plus members. This new pack doesn’t contain a costume but this is what it does come with;

"Follow the Butterfly EmoteSnow Sailer GliderSnowball Flight Contrail"

The previous release for PlayStation fans included a free outfit called the Blizzard Bomber and came with a back bling. This version doesn’t feature any outfits, which is sad, as that’s the aspect of the cosmetics most fans want.

We’ve mentioned before how we want to see more, and easier ways, to get our hands on new outfits without having to go through hoop after hoop, or signing up for invasive programs that don’t benefit the players at all.

Unfortunately, that’s just what Fortnite does at the moment and hopefully, we can be loud enough to get them to re-consider their practices just a bit. We’re not asking all outfits to be free, just increase the amount of free ones offered.

Next. 3 things we wish didn’t get vaulted for Chapter 3, Season 4. dark
