Season four isn’t Marvel themed but Spider-Gwen is coming

Fortnite won’t be Marvel-themed after all but Spider-Gwen is coming.

There were rumors a few weeks ago that Fortnite would be doing a Marvel-themed season for Chapter 3, Season 4, with rumored images leaking of all the characters coming to the game. All of those Marvel characters were rumored to be part of the Battle Pass, and now, according to arguably the most trusted Fortnite leaker on the Internet, that rumor is proven false.

Hypex revealed on Twitter that the rumored Marvel-themed Battle Pass wasn’t happening as previously rumored by other people. The rumor came from a supposed leaked trailer that showed fans Miles Morales’ Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen (Gwen Stacey), the Hulk, Vision, and villains The Iron Patriot and MODOK all arriving in Fortnite.

That doesn’t appear to be the case anymore, at the very least, those characters aren’t all expected to be in the Battle Pass anymore. The season is going to be themed around some type of metallic goo and will heavily be influenced by Halloween.

That doesn’t mean that we’re not getting any Marvel this season.

Spider-Gwen leads the rumored Battle Pass characters for Fortnite’s newest season

The original rumor involving the season suggested that Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales would join the lineup with a slew of other characters from Marvel. That appears to be still true, just not in the form of the Battle Pass.

Spider-Gwen is expected to be in the newest season’s Battle Pass with Miles Morales’ Spider-Man expected to join later on in the season as a purchasable character.

We also know that we’re getting another Marvel-themed item, at least as of now (Fortnite can always cancel it), in the form of the Hulkbuster. They’re working on a new mech suit for the game and many data miners and leakers believe that it’ll be the Hulkbuster suit but as of right now that’s just speculation.
