Fortnite is back from vacation and may finally be reading player complaints.

Fans of Fortnite have been clamoring for a change over at the Daily Bugle for a long time now. I, for one, don’t have an issue with it and actually quite like it. It really fits with the vibe of a small-town, island life. You need a news agency, right? Though head-cannon gags aside, I get why players have an issue with it.

I mean, I really don’t, but let’s pretend I do. That said, that doesn’t mean that fans who don’t like it don’t have a good reason to not like it. It’s a stagnant point of interest on the island and with so much of the island getting made over across the last three seasons, fans are wondering why the Daily Bugle hasn’t been given the same treatment.

Well, Epic Games may be teasing a major change coming to the Island in next week’s v21.40 update.

Epic Games and Fortnite are teasing a major change to the map next week

According to the Fortnite Competitive Twitter account, the folks at Fortnite are suggesting you get used to dropping in at new locations over the next few games, especially for competitive players. We’ve long heard of rumors that the Daily Bugle will be renamed the Daily Bloomgle after a Reality Tree root reaches that part of the island.

Making a tweet about major changes coming to the map is a sure sign that something, maybe the Daily Bugle, is going to get overhauled in the game. While I’m not a fan of the Reality Tree roots changing all the POIs on the map to random themes, some fans do enjoy it.

I’m just not one of them.

Hopefully, if the Daily Bugle does get changed, the size of it isn’t affected, as the multi-floor format of the building makes it one of the better arenas to try non-head-on-combat.
