3 X-Men characters we hope never come to Fortnite
By Chad Porto
Not all X-Men are created equal and we hope these characters don’t come to Fortnite.
X-Men is a terrific comic franchise, that has been around for 60-odd years at this point. While it started in the 1960s, it really picked up in the 1980s and peaked in the 1990s with comics, animated series, video games, and action figures.
Its become a franchise that has turned out various animated series, live-action movies, and series, and a revival of the 1993 classic cartoon, X-Men the Animated Series. A revival series of that specific cartoon will debut in 2023, as X-Men ’97, so it’s still a good time to be an X-Man fan.
If that cartoon does well, expect it to produce even more characters popping up in Fortnite in the next few months. It may have already started, with Wolverine being the Fortnite Crew character for August but while there are a lot of characters we hope to eventually, there’s a lot more we hope never come in.
Three X-Men characters we never want to see in Fortnite
Bailey Hoskins
Literally dubbed the “worst X-Man ever”, Bailey Hoskins looks like the MAD magazine mascot and has the superpower of self-detonation, which he can only use once. Talk about a lame character. Though, to be fair, he was literally created to be as such. So it’s not entirely fair to berate him for it.
Cypher
Aside from being Sterling Archer’s least favorite X-Men, this generic-looking mutant has the superpower of speaking and understanding any language. Not exactly the power you’ll need to stop the Dark Phoenix or the Sentinels but sure, tell me more about what the computer is saying to the cat.
Beak
It was either Beak or Skin for the third slot and we’re going with Beak, as he’s basically just a Zelda character with a worse outfit.
