Fortnite is pretty mainstream so these five popular acts will likely not be in the game but they totally should be.

When you think of musical acts that would pop up in Fortnite, you think of more solo acts. That’s just how it is right now, people want solo stars. Not just that, they want youth-focused acts, with a broad appeal. Their desire to be on the cutting edge of youth culture movements is part of the reason Arian Grande was nominated for her work with Fortnite by MTV.

So you’ll likely see some huge single stars in Fortnite eventually doing their best “Metaverse” performances. Yet, there are a lot of musical acts that would bring a certain level of excitement and uniqueness to the brand if they were given a shot.

We’re talking musical acts that could be all sorts of interesting but will likely not be brought in.

Five musical acts that would make for a great live event that we’ll likely never get.

Metallica

Metallica doesn’t need an introduction but they’re as popular as ever after Stranger Things brought in Master of Puppets. For metalheads of all ages, a Metallica live event akin to Grande’s would be huge and out of this world, but the music may not be suitable for all ages.

Ghost

If we’re talking about solo acts, Ghost would be impressive. He’s one of the better musical acts to blow up over the last decade, and his music, imagery, and lore would be a great thing to see play out in Fortnite. The problem here is he’s blatantly offensive. Granted, to a lesser degree, but the Christian Right would have a field day with this move.

N’Sync

Could you just imagine “Bye Bye Bye” in a live event? Plus the players could have the “Bye Bye Bye” dance emote after viewing the concert. How great would that be?

Gorillaz

They’re already an animated band, they’d fit well in a Fortnite setting, but they’re not the popular stars they used to be, having been making music for over 20 years now.

Jack Black

The song stylings of Jack Black cater to the gamer-nerd-type very well, and his likable personality and love of video games make him a perfect fit. Especially if you bring Jack Black as Eddie Riggs from Brutal Legends into the game at some point.
