Fortnite fans have a lot to look forward to in 2022 still.

If you’re a Fortnite fan, you may be a bit burned out, or disappointed by No Sweat Summer. That’s understandable, the last few seasons have been stellar. At some point, the game was going to hit a problem. It sure doesn’t help that the game canceled (or delayed) the skating mechanic update.

We may never get that, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing else to look forward to this year.

The game is working on some big things for fans that have long been rumored, suggested, or outright stated to players. Does that mean they’ll happen for sure? No, Fortnite does have a history of over-promising on selected items, but that doesn’t mean these six rumored or shown items aren’t coming.

It can go either way. Yet, if you’re optimistic, you may just see these six things before the end of the year.

Six things that may still come to Fortnite in 2022

Motor Bike

The Motor Bike has been hinted at since before the reveal of Zero Build, so you should expect it to debut eventually. That doesn’t mean it’ll come any time soon, however, just that it’ll come.

Junk Rift

We saw the return of the Junk Rift in the trailer for Chapter 3, Season 3: Vibin but we’ve yet to actually see the item return to the game. Will it return? As of right now, it seems unlikely, as, unlike the Motor Bike, the Junk Rift seemed to fit the vibe of the current season, but who knows?

First-Person

Rumors of the First Person mode have persisted for months and it may be ready by the end of the year, if not sooner. This seems to be coming whether or not it makes sense for the game, so expect it.

Weapon Charms

If Fortnite brings in a first-person view, it seems likely that Fortnite brings in charms for weapons as well. This was supposed to be an item brought in earlier in the history of the game, but the third-person view made them hard to see. With a first-person view, it’ll be far more noticeable. This makes so much more sense to bring in now, for that reason. Plus, you know they’re coming, as it’s another item Fortnite can sell to people.

Halloween Boss

The next season will be released around Halloween, and that means new characters, and one of them may very well serve as the boss of the game, the way Darth Vader has for Chapter 3, Season 3. This villain may be the mysterious character responsible for the Reality Tree, and that we’ve seen in promotional images but that’s just speculation.

Superstorm Consumable

Fans of the game may be able to create their own mini-storm like a tornado or thunderstorm with items in the not-so-distant future.
