Relive the Cosmic Summer Event trailer to get in the summer mood

Summer is here and we’re relieving some things you may have missed.

It’s fair to say that despite Fortnite’s giant player base, not everyone is aware of every little detail of the game. We know for a fact that the Zero Build addition to the game brought in a whole new heap of players. Some old, some first-timers. They all came in to try the new mode.

Who knows how many stayed but a lot of players are still here regardless. Like myself, not all of them were here in  Chapter 1, Season 1. Then just known as Season 1.

So one of the things I want to do is help newer players, or lapsed players, experience parts of the game that were part of an era they may not have been a part of. That means diving into some of these old gameplay trailers to get a vibe for the action.

In July of 2021, the game released the Cosmic Summer Event, which incorporated aliens, and beach-themed bonanzas for fans to get involved in. With the event came rewards, new creative aspects, and a whole heap of new designs to the map.

Fortnite does well with their seasonal themed events

Fortnite is once again getting into the summer fun, with their post-war theme Vibin’. It’s all about the chill-culture in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 3, and while the action is still hot and heavy, so is the general vibe surrounding this season.

Neon paint is everywhere, beach themes are in abundance and it does feel like summer in the game.

They’ve done this before, and they do it well all the time. It’s one of the best parts of the game, the constant revelry in the holiday season. Be it Halloween, Christmas, or even something most Americans don’t celebrate, like Ramadan, Fortnite always does a good job of embracing the seasons.
