What are the Red and Blue lines in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2?
By Andrew Lin
The turf war for the Island reaches a fever pitch in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2. The conflict between the IO and The Seven have developed into all out war, and lines will be drawn. Speaking of, what are the Red and Blue lines in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3?
When you hop on the Battle Bus for the first time in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, you’ll notice that there are Red and Blue lines on the map. These mark territory for the IO and The Seven.
What are the Red and Blue lines in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2?
Zones outlined in Red are IO territory, meaning you’ll be able to find IO vehicles like Tanks or cars. NPCs are also hostile here, and will fire at you on sight.
Blue zones are controlled by The Seven. These are friendly areas, and will have the upgraded Battle Bus vehicles when that update comes. The NPCs here are friendly, and will be willing to do commerce with you just like NPCs in previous seasons.
If you’re looking to spend bars for the first week of Season Quests, be sure to seek NPCs in the Blue zone.
Another key difference between the Red and Blue lines is where they’re placed. The Seven controlled Blue zones are typically found on the edge of the Island, whereas IO controlled Red zones are closer to the center.
This means that as the game goes on, you’ll be more likely to be stuck in a Red zone. Without building and the presence of powerful siege weapons and NPCs, it’ll make the later circles tougher than previous Seasons.
Chapter 3 Season 2 is only a few days old, so we may not have seen the full potential of the Red and Blue lines just yet. It’ll be interesting to see the territories grow and change as the conflict develops in the story.
