The last leg of Torin’s Legendary Quests has complete a Sideways Encounter. First, you’ll need to get into the Sideways. If you look on your map, you’ll see that there are blobs over certain POIs. These locations have been Sideways’d, but there’s another way to enter the Sideways that you’re looking for: the purple scorches that mark the island.

When you head here, you’ll find that a large, anomaly floating about. Enter this area, and you’ll be sucked into the Sideways and experience lower gravity. You’ll also be immediately assailed by Cube Monsters.

You should then see a meter appear at the top of your screen. Defeating Cube Monsters will summon more waves of them, almost like a Zombies mode in other shooters. Keep defeating them to earn progress on that meter, and complete the meter to complete the Sideways Encounter.

You’ll want to do some looting before you attempt to start the encounter. Cube Monsters come fast, so you’ll need a quick firing close range weapon or two to get through them. Not to mention, you’ll need a ton of ammo.

Luckily, defeating a Cube Monster will let you loot them. They can drop either a Sideways Rifle or a Sideways Minigun. These weapons get stronger the more they’re fired, which comes in handy since the Sideways Rifle doesn’t use ammo. When it overheats, you have to let it cool down.

Keep in mind that you’ll be vulnerable to enemy players while you’re fighting the hordes of Cube Monsters, so try to complete this Quest with your friends in Duos or Squads.

Completing the Sideways encounter will cause the Sideways Zone to disappear, leaving behind a high rarity weapon for your troubles.
