How Can Fortnite Improve After Bad Game Awards Showing?

Fortnite had a terrible night at The Game Awards, but we aren’t going to dwell on it. We are going to push to do better next year!

Sadly, Fortnite didn’t when in the three categories that it was nominated for at The Game Awards. Fortnite fans were disappointed that Fortnite didn’t get any awards. Then there were just as many players disappointed that the Super Smash Bros: Ultimate fighter reveal wasn’t Fortnite’s own Agent Jones.

Although, fans weren’t left with a completely bitter taste in their mouths. After the rumors went viral, the Master Chief skin was officially revealed. Fans were also thrilled to find out Daryl and Michonne from The Walking Dead will be coming to Fortnite soon.

That was a bit of good news for players to grasp on to end their nights. However, this night will sting in the back of our minds for a while. We have a year ahead of us allowing Fortnite to improve and push to have a better year next year.

There have been blockbuster changes that have been added in the past year and you can expect more in the future. Who knows when the next game-changing move will be made. However, with plenty of time until the next Game Awards, here are some ways that Fortnite can become winners next time around.

Push The Story Forward

While Fornite is one of the most popular games around, most people couldn’t tell you what the story is actually about. Last Season really did a great job at pushing the storyline to the forefront of the action. Everywhere you looked, you could see a sign of Marvel’s involvement.

As of right now, the bounty has become terrifyingly real in Season Five. There is a hunt going on at all times and you never know when your name is going to come up. However, it is easy to forget the zero point is still exposed causing a major disturbance. If you asked me, I would say it is time to make more of that disturbance.

Map Diversity

It has been a constant of the game that the Fortnite map continuously changes with the game. The original map is just a distant memory to many players. We watched as the original map was sucked up into a black hole. The map we have now has familiar features but is far from the map we saw in September 2017.

While Fortnite doesn’t have to change its ways, it could be a great addition to have a classic Fortnite map to play. Sort of how Runescape runs Old School Runescape, the OG map would be separate but equal to the current season. While many are working to conquer the current season, other players are reminiscing about older times.

V-Bucks Opportunities

Currently, the only way to get V-Bucks in Fortnite is by purchasing them. While the battle pass gives a number of V-Bucks as level rewards, you only get a few hundred as free rewards after hitting the max level. Certainly not enough to be able to buy one of the sweet new skins that sit at 1,500 V-Bucks alone.

Not every Fortnite player is able to purchase V-Bucks straight out, it would be a friendly inclusion to the game to have more opportunities to earn V-Bucks. Players love to have something to be able to work towards. You can get battle pass rewards and quests, but what if there was a way for players to do free quests for free rewards?

Just a few opportunities for a little extra is enough to get a few eyes to turn. Many say that less is more and the saying does make sense. If you give players a little, they will be likely to buy more. It’s at least worth the thought.
