Fortnite released it’s second patch of Season 10 and brought back yet another old area on the map along with some important gameplay changes and tweaks to the B.R.U.T.E. Here is everything you need to know in regards to v10.10 of Fortnite.

The latest patch for Epic Games and Fortnite is here and it sure brought us a ton of content to play with as its only the second patch of Season 10 and it seems that the game is continuously changing in a positive way.

For starters, we have yet another old zone on the island again in the form of Retail Row, but something has changed with the old area, it now is infested with zombies.

For those who may not remember Retail Row, it was located around Dusty Depot and Lonely Lodge and was a retail store complex with a sizable parking lot and a neighborhood beside it with tons of loot. The zombies will definitely add some more loot to the area and likely may Retail Row a must for players to start their Battle Royale games at for some impressive loot and chances at a high elimination count. Ninja seems to agree.

Moving on, the patch again added a LTM from Fortnite’s World Cup Creative tournament by adding the World Run LTM, which features running through an obstacle course that features traps, lava pits and many other things that can ruin your run against your friends. 16 players can play at a time and the runner who collects 30 coins first wins the race. It is definitely something to check out as the game mode was a hit at World Cup and is still a hit now.

Of course our old pal the B.R.U.T.E is still in the game despite backlash from the community but some changes have been made to it that may or may not help out with how overpowered it is.

The B.R.U.T.E will now have a targeting laser that appears when a gunner is loading the missiles and this laser will be visible to opponents, making it easier for those fending off the B.R.U.T.E to see where the rockets will be shooting.

B.R.U.T.E’s can now also be entered while gliding and have also seen some changes in regard to their spawn rate, something we saw a few days ago that was implemented into Arena and Tournament playlists.

  • 21.5% at Beginning that 1-3 will spawn – previously 100% for 2-4
  • 44% at Storm 1 that 1-4 will spawn – previously 100% for 2-4
  • 40% at Storm 2 that 1-2 will spawn – previously 100% for 1-3
  • 40% at Storm 3 that 1-2 will spawn – previously 66% for 2
  • 10% at Storm 4 that 1 will spawn – previously 50% for 1
  • 3% at Storm 5 that 1 will spawn – previously 10% for 1

So of course this could mean we will see less B.R.U.T.E’s but the idea that they are still in the game after the patch will of course not be that great for the community.

On a smaller note, chests and ammo boxes can now be destroyed themselves and release their contents but the objects around it cannot be destroyed and release their contents.

Many small bugs were also fixed as well that will likely help the game in a positive way and with that, this patch is definitely an interesting one with the addition of Retail Row and B.R.U.T.E’s remaining in the game. It will be interesting to see how these additions and fixes work until the next patch but until then, go out on the island and see what’s new for Fortnite.
