Fortnite: New Scoped Revolver coming in v7.20
By Eric Brown
According to the in-game news feed, a brand new weapon aka the Scoped Revolver will be coming to Fortnite later this week in the v7.20 patch.
Fortnite is no stranger to releasing brand new weapons or items, as they typically add one or the other every few weeks to keep the game fresh and exciting. For the next patch that is expected on Tuesday, January 15 we will most likely see a brand new Scoped Revolver.
According to the description, the weapon will be a “six shot pistol that packs a punch and provides perfect accuracy at range.” Going by that description the weapon will bring back memories of the recently vaulted six-shooter, which was arguably one of the worst additions to the Battle Royale game.
If the developers paid attention to how the community reacted to the ineffectiveness of the six-shooter they will make the Scoped Revolver have more damage when an enemy is hit by the weapon. This weapon was not leaked as most are, so there are no confirmations to how much damage will be taken upon being hit by a bullet.
As Epic Games have done in the past, this weapon will be added just before a professional tournament. The past two items, the now infamous sword, and the boomboxes were both added right before a tournament. As the sword was added just days before the Finals of the Winter Royale tournament, only to be vaulted days later, and the boombox was added the morning of the WSOE 3 Fortnite Finals.
What do you think of this new weapon and how will it be used in both the casual community and the professional community?
