Fortnite Battle Royale: Score Royale is here (and it’s pretty simple)

Fortnite launched a new LTM called Score Royale and it’s perfect for those who aren’t about the action. Here’s a brief breakdown of the new game mode.

Score Royale is something that has been teased for some time now. The game is designed for players who enjoy all of the secondary things Fortnite has to offer. Foraging, finding chests, exploring the map and eventually, eliminating opponents.

Score Royale is perfect for those players who may not be good at the action-packed regular games as it allows players the ability to win with or without eliminating opponents.

The idea is simple. Every chest opened, item foraged or points coin collected adds to your point total. The goal is to reach 2,000 points before your opponents. There are multiple strategies for multiple types of players but any skill level can win.

There are coin spawns throughout the map that give out 30 points (bronze), 50 points (silver) or 100 points (gold). Chests and Llamas provide 50 points each, ammo boxes, 25 and various foraged items such as apples and mushrooms give 10 a piece.

Eliminating opponents is obviously part of the game as well. Players will receive 100 points per player eliminated. When you add it all up, it doesn’t take long to get to 2,000 points.

One of the most fun parts of Score Royale is the tracker that lets you know if you are in the top five. It also shows you how far behind the leader you are, so you know exactly how much you need to get to that top spot.

Score Royale is a great version of the game for less skilled players or players looking to have some fun in between matches. Give it a try and let us know what you think.
