Whether you have battle pass or not, you can now knock off challenges on a weekly basis. Here are the free and battle pass challenges for week 3 of season 5.

The developers at epic games are stepping it up when it comes to weekly challenges. The previous two weeks were relatively easy, so Epic has slightly increased the difficulty of the battle pass challenges for week 3.

Most notably, you’ll see that the “eliminate opponents in named location” weekly staple is now five eliminations instead of the usual three. Hopefully this remains for the rest of the season, as it makes the weekly challenges a little more fun.

Shooting clay pigeons is also a new addition this week. The clay pigeon shooting locations are also fun to mess around with the squad. Just remember, others can hear you. Here’s an example of what the locations look like.

(Pro-tip, don’t use a sniper rifle if you want to get the challenge done quickly)

Free challenges

Deal damage to opponents in a single match (0/500)

This is an interesting new challenge that we haven’t seen yet. Dealing 500 damage to opponents in a single match means you’re going to have to know what you are doing, if only the slightest amount, to get this done.

This amount damage can be done by eliminating two or three opponents, depending on critical hit bonus/headshots. There’s a good chance you will complete this without thinking of it, especially if you are more often than not playing with a squad.

Use a launchpad (0/1)

Here’s your weekly freebie. It might as well be named “find a launchpad” because that’s all this challenge is. If you are in a high-traffic area and are worried you won’t get another chance at this, drop the launch pad immediately and get up in the sky to survey the location. This is the easiest challenge since “view a replay” in season 4.

Follow the treasure map found in Flush Factory (HARD) (0/1)

Flush Factory might be the worst starting point in the game. Let us help you avoid visiting this location at all costs. The battle star is located on the hill west of Fatal Fields. Here is a video of the location:

Search Chests in Fatal Fields (0/7)

This challenge is a staple of the weekly challenges. Find chests in x location. Fatal Fields is relatively spread out so your strategy here can differ. If you are good at landing and quick to move through a building, head for the northern barn or the house. If you want to knock off at least one chest each drop-in, try for one of the outside buildings or the woods surrounding the property.

Here are the chest spawns in Fatal Fields:

Shoot a clay pigeon at different locations (0/5)

Here is the fun challenge of the week. The developers have added in a new aspect of the game that will help you improve on your aim (and also give away your location). The clay pigeon shooting areas can be found in these locations:

Eliminate opponents at Haunted Hills (0/5)

Epic usually tasks us with eliminating three opponents in named locations, however this week we have to eliminate five. Perhaps they are listening to us in regards to these challenges being a little too easy.

If you want to knock this challenge off as soon as possible, head into Haunted Hills early in the battle pass week as it will still be crowded with people. Hope you are the first to a weapon and then take out as many opponents as you can see.

Explosive weapon eliminations (HARD) (0/3)

We just saw a similar challenge in week 1 of this season. The difference between that challenge and this one is C4. Set up a C4 trap or continue gathering eliminations with grenades or stickies. Either way, this one is pretty straightforward.
