Fornite Battle Royale: Should Flush Factory be taken out of the game?
By David Miniel
Fortnite Battle Royale is headed into the second week of its fifth season and players are still causing chaos. The updated map is a breath of fresh air but what else could Epic Games do to improve the Island?
Three games into the new season and I already have the beach ball themed umbrella. Pretty cool, but the skins aren’t all that great compared to the previous Battle Pass season. However, the female Viking and tier 100 skin are by far my favorite.
Fortnite continues to evolve with the introduction of rifts and golf carts; providing new ways for players to evolve their game. Did you know you won’t take fall damage in any cart when going through a rift?
That was a scary discovery. Now, Paradise Palms and Lazy Links were the newest named locations to hit the map. Once Moisty Mire and Anarchy Acres, two spots that weren’t necessarily used as much unless challenges were there.
Royale Flush
What else could Epic Games do to Fortnite Battle Royale in the near future? How about replacing Flush Factory?
Other than kills or chests, hardly anyone lands there and there’s quite a bit of land for Epic to play with. Maybe a beach or amusement park of some sort could replace the unpopular location. Flush is getting dull and its tenure on the Island is running out. It’s about time the developers chose to vote this named location out while introducing a new spot for us players to destroy.
Honestly, an amusement park could work in that area. The typical set up with a rollercoaster, Ferris wheel, swing ride, pendulum, drop tower, water ride, and everything else you’d expect.
Also, each individual ride could have the ability to actually work. How cool would that be?
Viking Hill
Now, let’s turn our attention to the massive ship that sits atop the hill in front of Snobby Shores. Personally, one of my favorite spots to land but it gets pretty crowded. Over time, I’d like to see Epic continue to expand that theme, eventually introducing snow to that section if it’s possible.
What they have right now is a great start but there’s plenty of potential there for them to work with. Surely, the brilliant minds behind this company already have something planned for this piece of land.
Before the update, a house and several cars sat where the ship now resides. Well, the two waterfalls caught my attention in my first game of the season.
“Hey, is that water on the hill,” my friend said to me as we glided our way toward Fatal Field. As soon as we confirmed the ship, it was our goal to land there as soon as possible.

Also, it doesn’t necessarily make sense for Epic to keep two junkyards on the map. There’s one near the top of Paradise Palms, similar yet smaller than Junk Junction. Could this be a sign that Junk and the giant Llama could be taken out of the game?
After all the changes that have been made with the new season, who knows what is around the corner. Either way, I’m excited and can’t wait to see what Epic has up their sleeve.
If you were given the ability to create a new location, what would it be?
